What's ahead?

You can view the full agenda online, but here’s a brief snapshot of what Council is scheduled to discuss on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Council Community Grant Program Applications

Each quarter, Council distributes funds to local nonprofit organizations through the Council Community Grant Program. The Town’s Finance Department receives the applications and reviews them for eligibility. The department then presents the applications to Council for consideration.

This quarter, Council will consider applications from The American Legion, Castle Rock Band, Clothes to Kids of Denver and Douglas County Living.

Opportunities for public input: Council values your feedback. That’s why many items on the agenda are included under “advertised public hearings and discussion action items.” Before Council discusses each item in this section, there will be time for public comment.

Those interested should sign up with the Town staff member sitting near the entrance to Council Chambers. In an effort to hear from everyone, these comments are limited to four minutes per person.

Talk to Council: There is also time set aside at the beginning of the meeting for “unscheduled public appearances.” This is a time to talk to Council about anything on your mind that is not already listed under advertised public hearings. Those interested should sign up with a staff member at the door of Council Chambers. In an effort to hear from everyone, these comments are limited to three minutes per person.

Monthly Department Reports: Get current information about projects and priorities from the Town’s major departments including the Deputy Town Manager’s Office, Development Services, Finance, Fire, Parks and Recreation, Police, Public Works, Town Clerk and Water.
