In this year’s Town Survey, residents expressed interest in public transportation. With that in mind, the Town is exploring the possibility of future transportation services for the community through a Transit Feasibility Study.
The goal of the study is to evaluate feasible options considering the Town’s resources and growing population. Residents are encouraged to participate and share input on alternative transportation options that they’re most interested in.
Attend an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the Town Hall lobby, 100 N. Wilcox St. to visit with transportation experts and provide input on what services the Town should explore. Light snacks will be provided and visitors can learn about potential transit options, such as bus service, on-demand service or community circulators.
Can’t make the open house? Visit CRgov.com/TransitStudy to complete a brief questionnaire. The interactive website offers a variety of ways to participate – map out most-traveled routes, share thoughts or sign up for updates.
The study will look at a variety of transit options and trends. Regional transportation services provided or planned will be assessed to explore local options that may integrate efficiently with them.
