Recent precipitation leads Castle Rock Fire and Rescue to lift fire restrictions

No Fire Restrictions Graphic

Snowfall this week, and additional expected moisture this weekend, has reduced the risk of fires in our area. As a result, fire restrictions have been lifted.

Acting on authority granted by Town Council, Town Manager David L. Corliss and Fire and Rescue Chief Norris W. Croom III rescinded the Stage 1 fire restrictions Friday that had been in place since Oct. 3.

Activities that are once again allowed include:

  • Building, maintaining, attending or using an open fire, campfire or stove fire in approved areas
  • Smoking in all regularly permissible areas
  • Welding or operating torches with an open flame in outdoor areas

Fire restrictions are implemented to maintain public health and safety. CRFD will continue to monitor fire conditions and will reinstate restrictions if necessary.

Stay tuned to CRgov.com/FireBans for current information. Inquiries regarding the current status of fire restrictions in Town should be directed to the Fire Chief’s Office, 303-660-1066.
