Meadows Boulevard Reconstruction

Closure and detour update

  1. Traffic along Meadows Boulevard remains one lane in each direction from the intersection of Meadows Boulevard and Meadows Parkway to North Meadows Drive, as crews reconstruct the east side of Meadows Boulevard. Motorists can continue to expect lane closures and traffic shifts.

Traffic crossovers will be set at North Meadows Drive and at Future Street. During this portion of the project, Grapevine Way, Coriander Street, and Bilberry Street will be closed at Meadows Boulevard. The signalized intersections at Fell Mist Way, Elegant Street, and Future Street will remain open but will experience limited closures to complete the work.

The main entrance of Castle Rock Adventist Hospital will be accessible throughout the project. View a timeline and phasing map of the project(PDF).

Please use caution in the area, slow down and obey all traffic signage.

By 2021, pavement maintenance around Meadows Boulevard will come full circle. In the meantime, roadwork continues this year, with the reconstruction of Meadows Boulevard/Prairie Hawk Drive from New Hope Way to Elegant Street. Concrete pavement restoration will also take place from Elegant Street to North Meadows Drive.

Construction began the week of April 6 and is expected to be complete by the end of summer. Motorists can expect lane closures and changes in traffic patterns throughout the project. Please plan ahead, and give yourself extra time, when traveling this popular roadway.

As part of the Pavement Maintenance Program, $3.1 million is budgeted for this project from the Town’s Transportation Fund, which includes revenues from sales, motor vehicle and building use taxes.
